This Privacy Policy explains how Techmatic Solutions, trading as Desqpad (“Desqpad”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit desqpad.com, contact us, place an order or otherwise interact with us in Pakistan.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
Identity and contact information, including your name, email address, mobile or WhatsApp number, billing address and delivery address.
Order information, including products, quantity, colour, price, delivery instructions, order history, returns and customer-support communications.
Payment-related information. For cash on delivery, we record the payment method and status. For electronic payments, the payment provider may collect card, bank or wallet information directly; we generally receive transaction references, status and limited payment metadata rather than complete card credentials.
Content you send us, including reviews, photographs, videos, survey responses and messages sent through email, telephone, WhatsApp, social media or our website.
Information collected automatically
Technical information such as IP address, device type, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, referring pages and timestamps.
Website activity such as pages viewed, links selected, cart activity, checkout progress and interactions with advertisements or emails.
Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the site, remember preferences, understand performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, measure or personalise marketing.
Information from other sources
We may receive delivery updates from courier partners, payment status from payment providers, fraud or address-verification signals from service providers, and interaction data from advertising, analytics or social-media platforms where you use those services or have permitted the relevant sharing.
2. How we use information
To receive, confirm, process, deliver and track orders.
To verify contact or delivery details and reduce fraudulent, duplicate or abusive orders.
To collect payment, issue refunds and maintain accounting, tax and transaction records.
To provide customer support and handle cancellations, returns, replacements, complaints and legal claims.
To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website, products, service and delivery experience.
To send service messages, including order confirmations, dispatch updates, delivery coordination and policy notices.
To send promotional communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out at any time.
To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, protect customers and Desqpad, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies support functions such as navigation, cart management, checkout, security and fraud prevention. Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate website use. Advertising cookies may help measure campaigns or show relevant advertisements. Where a consent tool is provided, you can use it to manage non-essential cookies. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
4. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose only the information reasonably required to the following recipients:
Courier, fulfilment and logistics providers for address verification, delivery, tracking, returns and collection of cash on delivery.
Banks, payment gateways and payment-service providers to process payments, refunds, disputes and fraud checks.
Website hosting, e-commerce, cloud storage, communications, customer-support, analytics, advertising and cybersecurity providers acting for us.
Professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, insurers and legal counsel.
Government bodies, regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies or other parties where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property or the integrity of our services.
A buyer, investor or successor in connection with a genuine business restructuring, financing, merger or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and lawful handling.
5. International service providers
Some technology, cloud, analytics, communications or payment providers may process information outside Pakistan. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers, limit the information shared and use contractual, technical or organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable law.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including order fulfilment, customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, audit, dispute resolution and compliance with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it, unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No online service or storage method is completely secure. You should protect your devices, account credentials and one-time passwords, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised activity relating to an order.
8. Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may ask us to provide access to personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete information that is no longer required, withdraw a consent you previously gave, or stop promotional messages. Some requests may be limited where we must retain information for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, contractual or dispute-resolution purposes.
Marketing opt-out requests can be made using the unsubscribe option in a message or by contacting us. Service communications about an active order cannot be disabled while the order is being processed.
9. Children’s information
Our website and products are not directed to children under 18. Orders should be placed by an adult capable of entering into a binding transaction. If we learn that personal information was submitted by a child without appropriate involvement of a parent or guardian, we may delete it where reasonably possible.
